Matt Sickle is an experienced designer of urban, campus, and cultural sites throughout the eastern half of the United States. He is a licensed Landscape Architect in the state of Maryland and the commonwealth of Virginia. He has earned multiple accreditations in the sustainable design of neighborhoods and landscapes. In 2023, he was appointed to the editorial advisory committee of Landscape Architecture Magazine, where he now serves as chairman.
In his community of Greenbelt, Maryland, Matt serves as chairman of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB). On PRAB, he has volunteered his time to provide the city with oversight for park and playground planning efforts along with plans to improve bike and pedestrian travel.
Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Business in (2005) and a Master of Landscape Architecture in (2012), both from the University of Maryland. In the Fall of 2017, he was excited to join the faculty at his alma mater where he taught LARC721 (Landscape Construction Methods and Materials) at the graduate level.
