Barb Eljenholm, AICP, LEED AP BD+C and SITES AP, has over 30 years of experience in environmental planning, meeting facilitation, outreach, public relations, marketing and communications related to the engineering, planning, geomatics/surveying and construction management fields. Her experience includes the OCC Recycling Center SITES project and is best applied to the SITES certification process as environmental advisor and in building the integrated team, facilitating meetings and communications and stakeholder/public engagement and outreach, as well as education and marketing of the projects. Her roles have included using media relations and press integration, social media and marketing techniques to engage and build audiences in environmental processes for projects and organizations. Barb is a certified planner and worked on environmental documents for projects across California (CEQA and NEPA) for over 15 years. She is also a LEED AP and SITES AP and serves on the USGBC Orange County Market Leaders Advisory Board. Her experience in SITES projects includes the first SITES project in Orange County, California--the OCC Recycling Center project. Barb also assists clients in preparing articles and awards highlighting their efforts and has published over 300 articles, reports and stories to highlight everything from environmental, engineering and planning topics, to local arts, dining, conservation and children's books. Barb is currently the CEO & President of Byline7. She was the prior Communications Director for Michael Baker International and prior Senior Vice President of RBF Consulting in the environmental and corporate affairs areas.
