Devon ensures his work is sensitive to the concerns and needs of the user, combines use and art, and influences future generations with design and physical form. He has over 15 years of experience in landscape architecture and urban planning. He currently carries landscape architecture licensure in Illinois, North Dakota, Maryland, Iowa, Utah, and Texas; is CLARB certified; and a Sustainable SITES Initiative® Accredited Professional (SITES® AP). He has a plethora of urban design experience in streetscapes, high-end residential, senior communities, boutique commercial, transportation enhancements, university and college campuses, resorts, cemeteries, and parks.

Receiving his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with Urban and Regional Planning minor from Texas A&M University, he also studied abroad at the Akademie für Internationale Bildung (Academy for International Education) in Bonn, Germany. After graduation, he was a Landscape Architect/Designer at Archiverde Landscape Architects in Dallas, Texas, where he worked on primarily high-end residential projects. After 7 years, he accepted a Project Leader potion at Studio Outside where he focused on public and commercial projects. In 2016, a rare opportunity was presented, requiring him to relocate to Umbria, Italy.

In 2019, he relocated back to the United States and was honored to accept a position at Confluence as a Landscape Architect Project Manager and later promoted to Associate. In 2024, he moved to the Chicago Confluence Office. In addition to his Confluence roll, he is active with the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) as a full member and part of the ASLA 2021 Licensure and State Advocacy Advisory Committee. Recently he was appointed to the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Board’s (CLARB) 2020 Job Task Analysis Focus Group. The goals of this Focus Group are to validate the content of the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.), ensuring it remains legally defensible and relevant whilst increasing the understanding of how landscape architecture is practiced around the world.

Devon’s project management prowess, combined with his passion, graphic design skills, and world travel experiences, adds a distinct edge to his projects. His experiences allow him to coordinate with other disciplines and confidently work freely in either the imperial or metric measurement systems.
