Faisal Alhassani is a licensed Architect in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, with over 8 years of experience in Architecture. He has a strong background in architectural design, urban design, and academic research. During his years of experience, he has evolved and grown within the profession, gaining experience in communication, technology, project management, and many other skills that have started to shape him into the architect he is today. He stands as an Associate of the American Institute of Architects member, an USGBC LEED® Accredited Professional, a SITES ® Accredited Professional, a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL®AP), a Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP) and takes part in many other respected organizations. Faisal Alhassani holds sustainable, social, and economical issues as highly important and believes in the triple bottom line approach when searching for architectural solutions.
He has a passion for creating remarkable places where people and their environments can flourish and thrive. He has always carried the ambition and constant desire to use design as a tool for human progress. He holds an extensive and thorough understanding of building and operational codes which has expanded his understanding of design. That degree of knowledge was developed through his studies overseas which taught him that it is pertinent not to omit any necessary requirements. He has learned to put the safety and well-being of humanity before all else when creating spaces. Faisal’s educational experiences along with his work as an emerging professional in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates have shaped his career early-on, towards facilitating transformative urban development projects.
Faisal is a graduate from The Catholic University of America, School of Architecture and Planning (CUArch) in Washington D.C. He received a master’s degree in Architecture (MArch) and a master’s degree in Sustainable Design (MSSD).
Faisal’s thesis dissertation, while studying at CUArch, explored the infinite potentials of architecture and its common meaning. The Essence of Architecture, ultimately, uncovered a manifesto that declared a clear overarching goal of eliminating the modern shell and delivering spaces that ask questions and reveal answers. The thesis research that was developed gave him an understanding of the influence architecture has over our environments, not just currently, but throughout history.
Prior to studying at CUArch, Faisal earned an undergraduate degree in Architecture and a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from the Umm Al-Qura University, in Makkah, K.S.A. Later, at the University of Southern California, Faisal completed his pre-master program of building science.
Faisal approaches architecture and sustainable design as one dialogue, a reflective conversation that brings future innovation to present-day society and positive evolution to our built environment. His care for humanity leads him to his overarching mission of seeking to improve the quality of life for all people.
