Steve is a Landscape Architect at Pharis Design in Austin, Texas. A 1987 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Steve began his career in Design/Build with The Brickman Group, Ltd. In 2005 he began working for Bohler Engineering where he was involved with land use planning, site design, and entitlement work. In 2007, Steve joined Burt Hill, an international architecture firm in Washington DC. At Burt Hill, Steve managed the Site Department leading planning and landscape architecture projects. At Burt Hill, Steve became involved with USGBC as a member of the Sustainable Sites TAG in 2009. In 2013 Steve began working at VIKA Maryland, LLC, as a senior landscape architect involved in planning and landscape architecture. Steve's past involvement with USGBC included work on the WE Technical Advisory Group, SS Technical Advisory Group, and SITES Materials Subcommittee.
