Anson is committed to creating vibrant public spaces that celebrate cultural diversity and support vulnerable communities. With over seven years of experience internationally – including in the San Francisco Bay Area and Hong Kong – he brings expertise in urban infill, on-structure, and revitalization projects. Anson excels at leading multidisciplinary teams through complex design challenges across a diverse range of project types, from multi-modal neighborhoods and institutional campuses to historic sites and affordable housing.
He currently leads the park design and shoreline improvements at the San Francisco Marina, and contributes to high-profile projects such as UCSF’s new Helen Diller Hospital and the Powell Street Improvement.
Anson currently serves on the ASLA Board of Trustees. During his presidency of the ASLA Northern California Chapter in 2024, he organized the region’s first landscape symposium. He also co-chaired the ASLA National Conference in 2022, and holds a leadership role with a public space advocacy nonprofit in Hong Kong.
