As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at the Ecoworks Studio, Lauren enjoy's supporting project teams seeking WELL certification.
Lauren started her professional career as a landscape designer for AECOM where she spent 7 years leading and contributing on multi-disciplinary teams for a variety of landscape architecture and urban design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and abroad. Lauren was also the founding Chair of the Cascadia Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, and a board member from 2008 to 2011. Lauren also served a one-year term as a Commissioner on the City of Seattle’s Design Commission, advising the Mayor, City Council and City departments on the design of projects and policies that shaped Seattle's public realm. Lauren moved on to USGBC (2012 - 2021) as an Account Manager and eventually a Technical Specialist supporting all of GBCI's programs along with SITES.
Community involvement is important to Lauren and she served on her local Planning Commission beginning in 2017. She also was elected to her local Borough Council in 2020 and has spent the last two years serving as Council President.
Lauren received a master of landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and has an undergraduate degree in ornamental horticulture and plant biology from the University of Delaware.
